Exam Dates:
CMT Level I & II: October 19-21, 2017
CMT Level III: October 19, 2017

Registration Deadlines:
Early Registration: August 18, 2017
Register & Schedule Level III Exam at Prometric: September 19, 2017
Final Deadline to Register for Level I & II: September 19, 2017

Important Registration Note:
The MTA headquarter staff and Prometric (secure CMT exam administrator) work diligently to accommodate all candidates, but seats are reserved on a first come, first served basis. You might encounter difficulties securing the time and test center as we approach the administration, therefore we strongly advise registering early!

Registration Process

  • Join the Market Technicians Association
  • Enroll in the CMT Program
  • Log in to your MyMTA profile to find eligibility information and a link to register.

Cancellation Policy
Candidates who register before the late registration period may request a cancellation of their exam and will be eligible for a refund within two weeks of payment. Candidates registering after August 16, 2017 may request a cancellation of their exam and will be eligible for a refund minus the test center administration fees within two days of payment. You must provide a confirmation of your cancellation from Prometric to receive your refund.

Retake Insurance
The MTA will now provide candidates the opportunity to insure their upcoming exam with the purchase of a pre-scheduled retake exam date. The retake insurance is available at the time of registration at reduced cost; $100 on Level I and $150 on Level II. There is no insurance retake option for Level III.

Candidates who are unsuccessful in their exam will have the opportunity to sit for a retake of the same level exam during a designated window of that administration. The retake exam is offered for $150 on Level I and $225 on Level II if purchased after results are provided. There is no immediate retake option for Level III.
