SPEAKER: Bruce M. Kamich, CMT
BIO: Bruce became a Chartered Market Technician in 1992 and is a two time past president of the Market Technicians Association. For over 35 years he has covered equities, fixed income, and commodity markets from a technical perspective. He has created some unique fixed income indicators which have been described in the MTA Journal. For the past four years he has been on the sell side doing technical research and making recommendations to some 12,000 financial advisors at a major firm. Before his current job, Bruce was a financial journalist with Reuters where he learned first the old Wall Street saying that "news follows the tape."
In addition to his day job, Bruce is an adjunct professor of finance at Baruch College in NYC where he has taught technical analysis for the past fifteen years. Last year Bruce became the president of the Market Technicians Association Educational Foundation and has been spearheading the relocation of the MTA and MTAEF libraries to Baruch.
Bruce is the author of How Technical Analysis Works which was selected by Barron's and the Stock Traders Almanac as one of their top investment books of 2003 and 2004. In addition he is working on this second book on chart patterns which should be available this spring form Bloomberg Press.
