Admissions Committee
The Admissions Committee reviews all MTA applications for full member status. This includes reviewing all documentation and examples of work. As well, the committee reviews the required 3 sponsor questionnaires and resolves any outstanding issues. Recommendations are then made to the MTA Management Committee and to the Board of Directors for acceptance or rejection.

Advocacy Committee
Responding to demand from many technicians and MTA members, the Board of Directors and staff have formed a committee to evaluate actionable ways to increase understanding, awareness and opportunity in the financial marketplace for technical analysis and its practitioners. The Advocacy Committee is seeking ways to address the following:
- Limitations of use of the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation by some employers;
- The popular press' common misunderstandings about Technical Analysis (TA); and
- Communicating the value of TA to potential employers.

Ethic & Standards Committee
The Ethics & Standards Committee investigates all ethical complaints filed in accordance with MTA constitution and by-laws. It considers revisions or modifications to the Code of Ethics before being presented to the membership for their approval. All complaints are held in the strictest of confidence and the committee works in close cooperation with the Rules Committee.

The Regions Committee works around the country to form chapters where members and affiliates can conduct educational and networking meetings. This committee is also conducts monthly educational meetings on a broad range of technically oriented subjects of interest to our membership and the investment community.

Rules Committee
The Rules Committee conducts an annual review of the MTA Consitution as well as encouraging members to submit suggestions and proposals which are then reported to the Board of Directors. Only members in good standing are eligible to serve on this committee.

Seminar Committee
The Seminar Committee puts together our two annual seminars held in January (Mid-Winter Retreat) and May (Education Seminar). These seminars are devoted to exploring emerging techniques in the field of technical analysis as well as re-examining changing points of view on more classic styles.

Social Media Committee
The Social Media Committee is responsible for the direction of the MTA's social initiatives. This committee leverages the strength of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn to create awareness for the organization. The Social Media Committee also oversees the growth of MyMTA, the MTA's private, members-only social network.
