The Chicago Chapter of the Market Technicians Association is chaired by the team of Jim Wagenhofer, CMT, Russ Sebring, Jonas Thorrud, and Daniel Kuczero. One of the most active regions of the MTA, the Chicago Chapter holds meetings each month featuring some of the top names in the industry!

Both members and non-members are invited to attend all chapter meetings at no cost.

Participation in all Chicago Chapter Meetings qualifies you for 3 MTA Continuing Education (CE) Credits.

About the Chapter Chairs

Jim Wagenhofer, CMT

Jim Wagenhofer, CMT is a trader for institutional equity and hedge fund products at CastleArk Management. He previously worked as an institutional trader for Fortis Investments and ABN AMRO Asset Management. Jim has previously served on the CMT Test Development Committee, and is currently a Subject Matter Expert providing assistance for the CMT Board of Governors Committee. Jim earned a B.S. in Business Administration fro the University of Illinois at Chicago and holds a Chartered Market Technician designation (CMT).

Jonas Thorrud

Jonas Thorrud is the Risk Manager for Phillip Futures, a Chicago and Singapore based futures clearing firm. He previously founded Stratus Trading, an Introducing Broker where he managed customer trading accounts according to a proprietary technical strategy.
