TOPIC: Why are premier buy-side shops looking at the charts right now? Can stock and sector level technical analysis add alpha to a fundamentally-driven investment process?
David Keller, CMT, manages the Technical Analysis team at Fidelity Management and Research in Boston, as well as the legendary Fidelity Chart Room. David is a Chartered Market Technician, Chair of the Regions Committee, and serves as Vice President for the Market Technicians Association. He was formerly a Technical Analysis Application Specialist with Bloomberg L.P. in New York, and was a regular contributor to Bloomberg Markets magazine. David is the editor of the book Breakthroughs in Technical Analysis: New Thinking from the World's Top Minds, published August 2007 by Bloomberg Press. He received degrees in Music and Psychology from The Ohio State University.
