TOPIC: Teleconference with the New York City chapter featuring Ralph Acamporab& Jordan Kotick

Please join us for the first joint chapter meeting between the Washington DC area and NYC area chapters of the MTA. We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to hear from two leading technical analysts -Ralph Acampora and Jordan Kotick (bio's below). In addition to their stature in the financial analyst community, Ralph and Jordan are also leaders in the MTA.
We will have a teleconference set up and we will have print outs available of all the speakers slides. The session will be interactive and we will be able to ask questions of the speakers. Ralph and Jordan will be presenting their technical thoughts on the markets during this session.
Ralph J. Acampora, CMT - With forty years of experience, Ralph J. Acampora has been instrumental in the development of modern-day technical analysis. He is the New York Institute of Finance's (NYIF's) director of technical analysis studies and has taught at the institute for thirty-seven years. Before joining NYIF, he was director of technical research at Knight Equity Markets and worked for fifteen years at Prudential Equity Groups as its director of technical analysis. His career has included positions at several of the financial industry's top firms, including Kidder Peabody and Smith Barney. In 1987, he received the Market Technicians Association's annual award for Outstanding Contributions to the Field of Technical Analysis.
Jordan Kotick, CMT - is the Head of Global Technical Strategy at Barclays Capital. Based in New York, he is responsible for a global team of technical strategists that cover the Fixed Income, Commodity, Equity, Foreign Exchange and Emerging Markets. He is a Past President of the Market Technicians Association (MTA). He was the first person to have ever been President of both the MTA and the Canadian Society of Technical Analysts (CSTA), and has also been on the Board of the MTA's Educational Foundation. Mr. Kotick also has his own regular show/segment on CNBC. It is broadcast globally every Thursday afternoon on the Closing Bell with Maria Bartiromo and is called "Kotick: Tick by Tick".
LOCATION: International Monetary Fund Headquarters 2 Building (HQ2) The nearest Metro station is the Orange Line at Farragut West (about 3 blocks from the IMF). Exit at Farragut West station via the 18th Street escalator. Walk west on I (Eye) Street one block to 19th Street. Go left (south) on 19th Street and continue across Pennsylvania Avenue. The IMF HQ2 headquarters building is on the right hand side (the west side of 19th Street). Parking is available across from the IMF HQ2 building at Colonial Parking, 2000 Pennsylvania Avenue. The entrance is on 20th Street between H Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. 20th Street is one way going North so approach it from the H Street side. The Colonial garage entrance is on the left. The IMF HQ2 building is on the right. The cost is $5 after 5:00 pm and they are open until midnight. Enter the IMF HQ2 visitors' center on Pennsylvania Avenue near 19th street and go through the security station (bring a photo ID). Your bags will be x-rayed and you will be escorted to the meeting room.
